Wisconsin Slushy Snow Accumulations Possible Late Thursday Watch for Travel Disruptions

Wisconsin Slushy Snow Accumulations Possible Late Thursday

Mainly impacting regions east of a line from Fond du Lac to Burlington, a rain/snow mix is predicted to turn into mostly snow late Thursday afternoon into the evening. Milwaukee’s National Weather Service has warned of slushy snow accumulations.

Between 4 and 9 p.m., the NWS predicts short bursts of heavy snowfall, which may cause small accumulations in grassy areas. Although there won’t be much snow accumulation on roads, drivers might be in danger from decreased visibility and light slush on surfaces. Disruptions to travel are to be expected, particularly during the evening commute.

It is recommended that residents keep abreast of weather conditions and use caution when traveling, especially in areas that may become slippery owing to slushy accumulations.
